Can you say, it’s about time!!!! On Thursday, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick  pleaded guilty to two felonies and no contest to another charge.

Also Kwame will also not be able to run for office for 5 years and must pay a milli-a-milli in restitution to the city of Detroit. Kilpatrick will remain in office until September 18, followed by City Council President Kenneth V. Cockrel Jr. who will take office the following day on September 19 until a special election can be held.

Kwame Kilpatrick who is the youngest Mayor in Detroit’s history will be sentenced October 28 and expected to go directly to jail. Kwame is expected to be in jail at least until January 27, 2009.
